The “Story of The Cricket Queen” recreates digital media tropes, trends, and aesthetics with analog film techniques. Through a hybrid of performance, hand drawn animation, Super 8 and archival footage, the film attempts to capture the uncanny, hypnotic, and isolating feeling of consuming media in the digital age.
